Hopkins The gameAfter a slow start, disrupted by swirling winds which made it difficult for both quarterbacks and receivers, it was Cousins and the Redskins who were first on the board. The quarterback found DeSean Jackson down the middle for a 17 yard score to complete an eight play drive and hand his side the lead. The Packers offence played well enough to keep them in the game, but it was their defence that couldnt hold the Redskins attack It wasnt long before the visitors levelled, Aaron Rodgers taking 17 plays to go 75 yards. After several short yard gains, Rodgers found Ty Montgomery in the end zone, but the play was nullified due to an offensive holding penalty. On the very next play Rodgers threw again, this time to Jordy Nelson at the back of the end zone. Though he lost the ball under pressure from Sua Cravens, the officials ruled it a catch and awarded Green Bay the points. The visitors added a 38 yard field goal to take a 10-7 lead, before Jordan Reed ran 44 yards from two drives to set up Kelley for a 10 yard score. The Redskins extended their lead early in the second half as Dustin Hopkins converted a 37 yard field goal before Cousins connected with Crowder for a 44 yard touchdown score to put the home side up 22-10.Rodgers connected with a wide open James Starks for a 31 yard touchdown pass, but it took the Redskins just two plays to re-establish their advantage. After a five yard gain, Cousins threw a 70 yard deep ball to Garcon who outran the covering safety and skipped into the end zone. Cousins found Pierre Garcon on a 70 throw to to establish a 12 point lead Green Bay pulled it back once more, Randall Cobbs 47 yard reception set up a six yard touchdown pass to Cook for his first score as a Packer. However the Redskins werent done and Cousins went long again, this time 53 yards to Crowder, who got to the one yard line before he was brought down by Kentrell Brice. Kelley added the extra yard, extending Washingtons lead to 11 points. It looked as though Green Bay might mount another comeback, and with under four minutes on the clock Rodgers completed a 37 yard pass to Davante Adams. However Redskins cornerback Norman forced a critical fumble, punching the ball out of Cooks hands.Washington recovered, and Kelley burst through the Green Bay defence sprinting 68 yards before adding another five on the following play to complete the score. Running back Rob Kelley scored three touchdowns and caused problems for the Green Bay defence all night It was a great offensive display from both sides, but it was the injuries to Green Bays defence that let them down. Missing David Bakhtiari and T.J Lang left them susceptible to the run, which Kelley took full advantage of, finishing for 137 yards and three touchdowns. The fourth loss on the spin leaves Green Bay two games behind the Detroit Lions, and one off the Minnesota Vikings, both of who won today. As for the Redskins, they face another tough test against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, as part of the Thanksgiving triple header live on Sky Sports 2 from 5pm.
