How can I promote our own brand?

Hello,

We want to promote our own brand now. I am running a small advertisement agency and now I am looking for leads to grow my business, I am not sure which steps should I follow. Right now My source of business is freelancing websites, but client dont pay good rates and I wanted to start offline Marketing. Something like cold calling etc.
I am not sure where to start.. How to start, how I will generate leads etc. I am thinking to create some interesting Animated Videos to promote the brand. Can anyone make a recommendation?
